An eldec Hardening System will be configured in accordance with your task and your specifications. The main components consist of the base machine, the energy source, tooling, the cooling system and specific automation components.
The Base Machine: eldec MIND or eldec VL-H
MIND means Modular Induction: The MIND class is designed as a modular system concept based on the “conventional” machine configuration. The workpiece is fixed in position (and rotates respectively), while the inductor moves with 1, 2, 3 or even 4 axes to the workpiece. MIND hardening machines are available as manual (stand-alone) solutions, as heat treating systems with an individual automation level or as in-line hardening cells, completely integrated in a process chain of green and hard machining.
The eldec VL-H is a joint venture development between eldec Induction and EMAG Maschinenfabrik GmbH and is the first Pick-up Hardening Machine in the world. Pick-up means that the inductor tooling is fixed in position, while the workpiece moves by using 2 or 3 axis to the inductor. The machine is automated and loads itself. eldec Induction energy sources are best known for the accurate energy metering and their process capabilities. When the temperature exceeds the Curie point, the electronic power control in conjunction with the automated matching feature will optimize the generator power. High efficiency and precise heat input results in low energy consumption and, therefore, lower life-cycle costs (TCO) for the total system. The solid state, IGBT transistor based generators are protected against short- and open- circuit conditions.

eldec was established as Schwenk Induktorbau GmbH in 1982 as a premier coil shop for precision Inductors. Still today, design and build of Inductor Coils is one of our primary areas of expertise. eldec Inductors are designed with the latest 3D CAD software (SolidWorks), manufactured on CNC machines and built by well qualified specialists.
Cooling Systems and Automation Components.
Cooling systems and automation components will be customized according to the dimensions and requirements of the overall system and the actual on-site conditions. We only use proven systems and components built by well-known manufacturers.
